Brass Chile S.A. (BRASS) is a multidisciplinary engineering company established in the year 2001 at Santiago, Chile. The company’s business is focused in the design of fluid transport systems through long distance pipeline. Specifically, its expertise is in the transport of slurryfied mine products, such as concentrates, from mine facility to port of export. In the last few years, BRASS has established itself as the leading engineering company in the design of high pressure, long distance, seawater and desalinated water transport systems.

BRASS Chile photo 01Since its conception, BRASS has grown exponentially reaching a peak of 150 personnel and sales revenue of roughly $20M in a span of 12 years. However, in the last 3 years the growth has stagnated as driven by the global drop of metal prices.

Key factor that marked the success of the company is in the belief and adherence of each employee to the company’s Vision Statement. This vision, commits each employee to deliver its services through continuous innovation along with safety and environmental awareness through honesty, excellence and dependability.

In 2006, BRASS successfully received the ISO-9001, Quality Assurance certification. This boosts client’s confidence in the engineering services capability of BRASS. In the year 2012, BRASS received certifications for ISO-14001 and OHSAS-18001.

In 2009, BRASS is one of the first engineering company to integrate in its design the equivalent greenhouse Carbon Gases Emission for each greenfield project developed. The intent is to develop a design with the least amount of carbon footprint and allow clients to develop a program for compensation of emitted gases.

BRASS Chile photo 02In the year 2012, BRASS became a member of the non-profit organization, ACCION RSE, which is developed to promote a sustainable company’s Social Responsibility Program.

In 2013, BRASS received recognition from the Labor Ministry of Chile as the Best Small Business Company with the highest level of qualified and trained personnel.

Also in 2013, the Chilean Government agency, SENDA, awarded BRASS Chile the recognition for providing a program among its employees to promote a Healthy Work Lifestyle.

Since year 2006, BRASS has been actively involved in providing aid assistance to various communities, including:

• Development of facilities in community elementary school of Lo Espejo, Santiago, Chile
• Improvement of orphan housing facility for Fundacion Koinomadelfia, Santiago, Chile
• Distribution of relief goods for 2010 Earthquake Victims, Bucalemu, Chile
• Distribution of relief goods for 2013 Typhoon Haiyan Victims, Leyte, Philippines
• Distribution of relief goods for 2015 Earthquake Victims, Ovalle, Chile
